A 23-year-old man died Sunday after being taken to the hospital from a music festival in Miami Gardens, officials said.
Jordan Petrocchi was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital Saturday night while attending the Rolling Loud Festival at the Hard Rock Stadium northwest of Miami, according to Miami-Dade police. The cause of death is unknown while officials wait on the results of the toxicology report.
Rolling Loud representatives could not be reached for comment, but they told NBC 6 WTVJ that there were no signs of a fight, drugs or heat-related illnesses.
According to a GoFundMe page set up by friends of Petrocchi, he was set to gradate Clemson University in South Carolina.
"His outgoing nature and infectious smile never failed to lift the spirits of those around him," the page states.
What is Rolling Loud?
Rolling Loud is a music festival featuring more than 120 hip-hop, rap and punk artists with shows in Thailand, Germany, Portugal and more.
The festival in Miami Gardens this past weekend featured Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti as headliners. Bronx-based rapper Ice Spice also performed.
Before the festival, organizers were warning attendees to stay hydrated, as reported by NBC 6. Saturday's weather reached a high of 97 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
