Authorities in Texas activated a regional Amber Alert for a 15-year-old girl who went missing while on vacation Tuesday.
The Galveston Police Department is searching for Gabriella “Ella” Caito, who was last spotted hanging out with her friends in the Galveston area, about 50 miles south of Houston.
Gabriella “voluntarily left” the condos where she was staying at approximately 4 a.m., police said in a Facebook post. She was last seen getting into an unknown vehicle, leaving Dawn Condos in the 7000 block of Seawall Boulevard around the time she was reported missing, police said.
“Gabriella is on vacation with family friends and does not know anyone in the Galveston area,” according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
“Caito is from out of state and requires medication, which makes locating her very important,” police said.
She is is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. Gabriella was wearing a black tank top, orange hoodie, basketball-type shorts, as well as a gold chain with a blue sand dollar medallion, according to descriptions provided by the center and police.
Anyone with information about Gabriella’s whereabouts has been encouraged to contact Galveston Police Department investigators at 409-370-9520.
